I've owned a lot of cookbooks over the years. Some I've loved and kept. Others...not so much. Those have been donated. But by far my favorite cookbook is Chloe's Vegan Desserts by Chloe Coscarelli. The best part is that none of the recipes I've made from the book "taste vegan". You know what I mean. Sometimes you can just tell it's vegan. No wonder she once won Cupcake Wars!

What I especially like is that she doesn't use any "strange" ingredients. The ingredients she uses I already have in my pantry. She also doesn't use the flax egg as an egg replacement. I'm not a huge fan of the flax egg as I find it makes baked goods a bit gummy. From cakes to pies to cookies, this book has it all. The Vanilla Birthday Cupcakes recipe is a personal favorite!
When I make a recipe from this book I know it's going to turn out well. If I'm bringing a dessert somewhere, I know I can pick something great from this book and most likely no one will be able to tell it's vegan. Also, if you're trying to convince people to try vegan food, desserts are a great place to start! If you're in the market for a new cookbook and you're interested in desserts, this book is a great choice.
